Harlem has long been a refuge for the gay community as far back as the masquerade parties and drag balls of the twenties and thirties. Over the past decade, the neighborhood has become even more popular thanks to its more affordable housing and easy access to midtown via the A train.
Harlem Pride Celebration Day is an event the whole family will enjoy. Celebrate with two entertainment stages, the Main Stage Show, where Harlem brings you the best talent New York City and the world has to offer, and the DJ Stage, where you can enjoy dance music throughout the day. There are also activities such as face painting and Drag Queen Story Hour for the children.
