Splash Days: Memorial Day Weekend

Looking to get wet and nekkid then plan a trip to Austin’s Hippie Hollow Park on Lake Travis. The gay section is located at the very end of the park. Just keep on the paved walkway until it runs out … and you’re at the gay section. It is the only park in Texas where you can legally tan your nooks and crannies.

There are TWO Splash weekends in Austin: First Splash is when Austin gays kick off summer over the Memorial Day holiday weekend and Last Splash is the unofficial close of summer during the Labor Day holiday weekend.
