We’ve been crushing on the SLS Las Vegas since it opened two years ago at the site of the former Sahara. The Phillipe Starck designs, the young, diverse crowd, amazing restaurants, a stop on the Vegas monorail, and a convenient location—halfway between the heart of the Strip and the center of hip Downtown—helped hook us. Now, the hotel/casino has a new offer to entice more tourists into its embrace.
Called #MyVegasStory, the summer special provides 21+ over guests a stocked mini-bar and VIP specials if they book two nights in the hotel’s Story Tower, with its lovely loft-like rooms. The free food and booze includes $200 worth of vodka, a bottle of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey, Red Bulls, beer, soda, additional drinks, and a bevy of snacks. On top of the stocked fridge, #MyVegasStory includes VIP access to all the pools and clubs of the SLS Vegas, drink specials at the Foxtail Pool and Foxtail Nightclub, and free non-alcoholic drinks at many of the hotel’s restaurants, including 800 Degrees (one of L.A.’s favorite pizza joints), the Beer Garden (with its outdoor drinking patio), and the Northside Cafe (the best spot for hangover-cure breakfast). We priced the Story Tower for late July and got a rate of $279 a night; not bad. Booking this for your friends on the sly will no doubt secure Queen Bee status.
