If you think the Dore Alley “Up Your Alley” Fair is the Folsom Street Fair’s “dirty little brother,” then consider Bearrison Street Fair like its beer-bellied dad who doesn’t shave very often. Billing itself as a “Fair for Every Bear,” the event’s website says “Bearrison seeks to provide an inclusive community event for all members of the adult LGBTQ+ community which promotes body positivity for all and builds a more supportive, welcoming, and inclusive bear scene by representing a diverse arena of cultures.”
Bearrison Street Fair is a collaboration between the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc., (SPI) and the Bears of San Francisco (BOSF). The inaugural fair was held 2021 and has been getting bigger and hairier every year.
