December 13
Santa’s coming to town, and apparently he’s forgotten his pants. The Santa Skivvies Run sends hundreds of barely dressed holiday revelers through San Francisco’s Castro neighborhood for a festive one-mile dash benefiting San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Expect Santa hats, Speedos, holiday underwear, and plenty of exposed skin, all in support of HIV prevention, care, and community health services. The fun continues with drag performances, awards, and an afterparty at Lookout. Run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines. It’s a little chilly, a lot cheeky, and proof that giving back doesn’t require covering up. Just don’t forget the sunscreen. Or maybe a scarf.
