Asbury Park Gets New Lease on Life; Economy Flourishes

While most towns on the Jersey Shore have thrived economically and otherwise over the course of the last few decades, it appeared that the storied town Asbury Park somehow faltered quite inexplicably.

Now, it would appear that even the Garden State’s native son, famed rocker Bruce Springsteen has acknowledged that “maybe Asbury Park is back” during a recent performance there.  The internationally renowned club called “The Stone Pony” that he made famous years ago is now hosting larger rock concerts than ever before and attracting big name celebs.

Since the late 1800s Asbury Park was a booming seasonal resort; boasting about 200 hotels and a carnival-like atmosphere on its now famous boardwalk.
