Bear Pride Chicago celebrates 20 years

Polar vortex be damned. Chiberia has thawed and the sun is shining. The bears are finally coming out of hibernation and they’re ready to come together!

A month away, the 20th year of Bear Pride Chicago is on people’s minds and everyone—from the grizzlies to the pandas, the cubs and their otter friends—are already prepping for it.

The festivities will begin with a meet and greet, a trolley tour and boat ride. There’s a boxers party, a nuts and butts party, and a wet and wild bath time at Steamworks, 3246 N. Halsted in Boystown.

The Crowne Plaza Chicago Metro Hotel, 733 W. Madison St., will be transformed into a big den from May 23 to 26, with a Bear-B-Que at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted St., on the final day.
