Big Gay Ice Cream Shop – which started five years ago as a New York City truck and quickly became a Thing – is preparing to set up its soft-serve goodness in Philadelphia.
Douglas Quint and Bryan Petroff disclosed at Tuesday’s 2014 Great Chefs Event – a fundraiser for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and the Vetri Foundation – that they have secured a spot in the new SouthStar development coming to the northeast corner of Broad and South Streets.
Kevin Sbraga already is on board to create a restaurant on the corner. Big Gay will be on the South Street side.
