Front Desk Manager by Day, Drag Queen by Night

The music is blaring so loud it’s almost deafening. Lights are flashing and spinning around the dance floor. It’s hot and crowded at Providence’s Club Ego, but everyone is looking to the stage to watch Annie B. Frank, perform.

Another drag queen by the name of Pulp Friction brings out a chair and a plate of French Fries just as Annie B. emerges from behind the curtain wearing a striking floral dress, bright blue wig, and her signature eyebrows made from cardstock and glitter.

The song, “I Try” by Macy Gray, explodes from the speakers. “I try to say goodbye and I choke, I try to walk away and I stumble,” Annie B. sings along as she plucks a French fry, chokes, then trips while walking away from the plate. The crowd erupts in laughter and cheers.
