Jersey Pride Celebration marks 23rd year in Asbury Park

For more than 20 years, through thick and thin, members of New Jersey’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community have converged on Asbury Park for life-affirming displays of pride.

The tradition continues with a number of upcoming events, starting with the Jersey Pride Celebration from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 1.

The parade steps off at Cookman Avenue and Main Street and ends at the festival grounds in Bradley Park, Fifth and Ocean Avenues.

It’ll be the 23rd annual Pride Celebration presented by Highland Park-based Jersey Pride. The event has been held in Asbury Park since the beginning.
