On a recent weekend in Palm Springs, more than 400 members of the National Gay Pilots Association gathered for its regular Winter Warm-up meeting.
This one marked the 25th anniversary for the group, which brought 19 major and regional airlines for a recruiting event and even a performance by drag persona Miss Coco Peru.
“Our members come from all over the world to attend our events to network, see friends, make new friends, and do what we love most: Talk about airplanes,” said David Pettet, executive director of the National Gay Pilots Association, based in Norfolk, Virginia.
