REVIEW: MGM Grand, Las Vegas

REVIEW: MGM Grand, Las Vegas

When they decided to call the MGM hotel in Las Vegas ‘grand’, they were not being hyperbolic.

Magnificent, majestic and what feels like the size of an average English town would probably be more accurate – even if it’s not as snappy a title.

Originally built in 1993, this 30-floor 6,852 room building (did I mention it was big?) had a Wizard of Oz theme. While a lot of it has been stripped now for the classic Vegas casinos and bars, many artifacts of the legendary film echo around the building.

From your sepia-toned life, you follow the yellow path into the emerald green building housing a city of delights.
