Pride Plates

Location: Louisville, Kentucky

What to Expect: A walking food tour through The Highlands, Louisville’s gayborhood. Pride Plates is hosted by Louisville Food Tours, this $159 experience serves up a taste of the city’s culinary roots and a dash of LGBTQ+ history. Collaborating with Queer Kentucky and local archives, the tour highlights amazing eats (hello, bourbon cocktails!) and iconically queer spaces. It’s one of only two queer-themed food tours in the U.S.—so yes, it’s worth it.

Queer Food Foundation (QFF)

Queer Food Foundation was born in 2020 amidst the pandemic, QFF has championed queer food justice while combatting food insecurity in Black queer and trans communities. With $80,000 raised for programming and support, their “Queer All Year” initiative continues to educate and celebrate the queer food culture movement. Pro tip? Keep an eye on their Instagram for collabs with heavyweights like the James Beard Foundation.

The Queer Food Conference is basically the Oscars of queer food, featuring discussions on everything from LGBTQ+ farming to cookbook writing. Love books?
