The happiest place on Earth can also be considered one of the gayest places on Earth. Especially after Tinkerbell sprinkles more fairy dust on the Magic Kingdom during Gay Days Orlando.
However, that doesn’t mean it’s the only time to visit Micky and all of your favorite characters. For a complete Disney immersion, visit central Florida year-round to enjoy the park’s year-long magic.
Check below for Disney must-sees:
The Magic Kingdom is the place to head first for rides on Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and the Haunted Mansion, but the magic of the park can take over from open to close. A must-do would be the new Happily Ever After Nighttime Spectacular, delighting guests as a (semi) replacement for the Light Parade in the evening. Everyone’s favorite princess plays a role as projection mapping and pyrotechnics light up the evening night and everyone finds their “happy ever after.”
Epcot is the place to fill your brain with information that makes an appearance at your next dinner party. Our favorite, with little surprise, would have to be the world pavilions where you can bounce from Mexico to France to China and beyond without the jet-lag. One of the best parts is the fact that alcohol is served in the restaurants here so you can show you more adult side with a local brew or cocktail. Specifically, Mexican exhibit comes alive with a Choza Tequila bar for sipping the spirit or giggling with margaritas.
Star Wars fans rejoice with Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ newest experience, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. This is a revolutionary new 2-night experience where you are the hero. You and your group will embark on a first-of-its-kind Star Wars adventure that’s your own. It’s the most immersive Star Wars story ever created—one where you live a bespoke experience and journey further into a Star Wars adventure than you ever dreamed possible.
Animal Kingdom gets into the fun with Pandora, the World of Avatar—pulling back the curtain on the Na’vi people. Homestead tree offers a river tour with bioluminescent rainforest and floating mountains. Or if your vacation needs a little thrill, hop on a Banshee at the Avatar flight of Passage to soar above Pandora and gets a birds-eye view of the exhibit.
Pro tip: If you are on a bit of a time crunch, you can visit all of the parks over a long weekend, but we’d recommend using the Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane entrances. Disney Genie is part of My Disney Experience app available at no additional cost. Plan your day with personalized itinerary based on preferences. And see current and forecasted wait times.
