Washington, DC, is full of people with something to hide. At Cupid’s Undie Run, it’s mostly their pants.
Every February, a crowd of brave exhibitionists and charitable souls strips down to their skivvies for a mile-ish dash through the nation’s capital. Think tiny shorts, colorful briefs, tutus, and enough exposed skin to cause a congressional investigation.
The festivities begin with music and mingling, followed by the run and an after-party where everyone can celebrate surviving the experience. It’s all to benefit the Children’s Tumor Foundation and research into neurofibromatosis (NF), a group of genetic conditions that cause tumors to grow on nerves.
It’s a rare occasion when Washington, DC encourages you to show off your assets without filing a financial disclosure.
