Gay Nightlife in Boston

Grab a drink and grab a local.

Machine

Dancing and cruising are the main draws, with its best night (by far) being Friday. It’s a mixed crowd, but after several drinks in hopefully you won’t care.

Jacques Caberet

Famous for its seven-days-a-week drag and its cheap drinks, Jacques is not to be missed. It’s a dive, but, like the ladies, looks can be deceiving.

Cathedral Station

Cheap, strong drinks in a friendly sports bar for the gays.  Fun at night, and brunch (and the Bloody Maries) give you a reason to come back in the morning. Lots of former Fritz workers are here.

D Bar

Typical gay bar for the typical gay. But, on Fridays it’s 80s and 90s night with a free cover. What more do you need?

Club Café

Not the most creatively named place, but still popular with the younger crowd. Pop music, videos, plus a full menu and Sunday brunch gives you plenty of options.

Alley Bar

Grrr, there be bears here. Bears that play pool. This fun, unassuming bar is popular with locals and those who want to hibernate from the scene for a night.
